Oxford Streets for People encourage people to look at ways of making permanent improvements to their Street Scene to ensure that it is a friendlier, more pleasant and safer place to be. Some of the activities we encourage are:
- carrying out Street Audits to establish what can be improved and, where appropriate report your findings to City and County Councillors – to check out your street use street design checklist and street audit form
- finding ways of making streets safer – traffic calming, mending pavements
- finding ways of looking after it better - eg regular litter picking patrols
- identifying enhancing features eg trees, street furniture
