On Foot in Oxford

Oxford Streets for People actively encourage local authorities to develop streets in the best interests of all users – with particular emphasis on the needs of those on foot. We are in the process of systematically identifying examples where the city is not welcoming for people on foot with the intention of drawing these to the attention of the local authorities.

Oxford Walk & Talk is a series of short, themed, city centre ‘walkabouts’ celebrating our fascinating streets, alleys and pathways.

These ‘walkabouts’ are perfect for lunch breaks or anytime you have around an hour to spare in the city centre.  Walk with colleagues, friends or family

and talk together about what you find.
